With both our work and personal lives growing increasingly busy, almost everyone is searching for the highly desirable but very elusive thing called ‘work-life balance’. While many of us have no choice but to battle the peak hour crowds during the daily commute to and from work, that doesn’t have to be the case when you live in the Sydney Hills district.
Because the district is home to the thriving Norwest Business Park which is currently large enough to accommodate over 20,000 employees (with expansion estimated to increase capacity to accommodate more than 35,000 employees), residents have a choice between making the easy commute to the Sydney CBD for work, or to work in the local area.
Home to a wide range of multinational corporations including IBM GSA, Schneider, Woolworths, B Braun, ResMed, Capital Finance and over 400 companies and businesses, the park also features four retail centres, banks, child-care centres, professional services and a selection of restaurants, making it an entirely self-service business park and great alternative to working in the Sydney CBD.
While making the very easy 10-minute walk to and from work each day may sound incredibly appealing, depending on your profession, you may not have the option to seek employment locally. In this case, achieving a good balance between your work and home life is still very achievable when you live at Haven Norwest.
Because of its ideal location in close-proximity to the M7 and M2 motorways, you can choose to make the easy approximately 30-minute drive to and from the CBD for work, freeing up a little more me-time at the end of each work day.
Commuting to the CBD will soon also become even easier, with the new Norwest train station set to open in the first half of 2019 as part of the Sydney Metro Northwest project. The station, which will provide a speedy 48-minute commute (including interchange) to Wynard Station in the heart of Sydney, will see trains departing every four minutes during peak times meaning you’ll never have to check the timetable before leaving the house again.
You won’t know what to do with yourself with all the extra time you’ll have when you live at Haven Norwest, but that’s no problem—there are plenty of things to do near Haven and the Sydney Hills District.
