Attractions Near Haven Norwest

There are plenty of nearby attractions to keep you occupied in your spare time when you live at Haven.


Right on your doorstep is Norwest Marketown which is home to more than 35 specialty stores, offering all of the day-to-day essentials, along with a range of fashion boutiques, fast-food stores and restaurants.

Close by in Castle Hill, you also have the Castle Towers shopping complex which has all of your retail, leisure and entertainment needs covered. With a large range of women’s, men’s, kids, sporting, beauty, health, home, technology and other retailers, the complex also includes a cinema and excellent selection of restaurants and fast food stores.


The Museums Discovery Centre is a key attraction which is well worth a visit—home to the Powerhouse Museum and the Sydney Observatory, the centre is uniquely positioned to demonstrate the impact technology, engineering, science and design has both in Australia and globally. Internationally acknowledged for its collection, scholarship and exhibition which includes history, science, technology, design, industry, decorative arts, music, transport and space exploration, there’s sure to be something to interest everyone.

There’s also plenty to keep the whole family occupied when you live at haven, with a wealth of kid-friendly activities within easy reach including the Boing Central and Flip Out trampolining centres, as well as an AMF Bowling and Laser Skirmish centre in Castle Hill.

Sporting Facilities

When it’s time to get active, simply cross over Solent Circuit and you’ll find the Sydney Ice Arena. At this Olympic sized ice sports and public ice skating arena you can enjoy the ice whether you’re a novice skater looking for some casual fun, or you’re a more experienced skater wanting to get involved in their figure skating or ice hockey programmes.

The C2K Fitness and Aquatic Centre is also only a short drive away in Castle Hill. As one of the largest fitness, swimming and gymnastics facilities in Australia, they’re sure to have something to get the blood pumping.

If you’re interested in trying something a little different, pay a visit to the Hills District Pony Club where riders of all levels are welcomed and you can try out a range of equestrian sports including show jumping, cross country, dressage, show riding, sporting, mounted games and horsemanship.

Then for the serious golfers amongst us, you may want to consider joining the nearby Castle Hill Country Club which boasts a world-class championship golf course set over 167 acres of open fairways and picturesque bushland.

Parks and Reserves

The Hills is known as Sydney’s Garden Shire for a reason. Living at Haven, you’ll be able enjoy the range of close by parks and gardens including the Bella Vista Farm Park. Located on Elizabeth Macarthur Drive, the park is set over a beautiful 20 hectares offering panoramic views of the Sydney basin and Blue Mountains. Take a tour of the original homestead and various other farm buildings, or simply enjoy a delicious morning tea in the gardens or courtyard.

If you’re looking to have a relaxed BBQ or take the dog for a walk, Crestwood Reserve on the corner of Crestwood Drive and Chapel Lane is another close-by recreational reserve, offering walking tracks, sporting grounds, a children’s playground and skate park.
